McGraw-Hill Book Club Readers
Beginning to low intermediate
The McGraw-Hill
Book Club Readers series is
made up of forty-eight carefully graded, high-interest readers
written at six developmental language levels in American
English. It is specifically designed for students of English as
a foreign language in preschool and grades 1-6 throughout the
world.
The books in the series range from 16 to 32
pages and are illustrated with color art or photos. The topics,
which cover a broad range of fiction and nonfiction, are highly
motivating and geared to the interests of children between the
ages of five and twelve. The carefully controlled language
levels help make the topics accessible to the students at
various stages of the language acquisition process, from the
beginning stages through higher advanced language levels.
These excellent and enjoyable readers
provide depth as well as breadth in their coverage, and take
students from the stage of “learning to read” in
English to “reading to learn” in English.
