This series of two cultural readers is
designed to make English-language learning enjoyable for high
school and young adult students whose abilities range from
beginning through to low intermediate levels. Through
twenty-seven self-contained units, students follow the
adventures of a pair of American high school students and their
family, friends, neighbors, and other community members.
The Beginner’s
English Reader, written in the
present tense, makes reading an enjoyable task for beginner
level students. Lighthearted drawings accompany each two-page
story and two exercises follow each reading.
The Advanced
Beginner’s English Reader uses
past, present, and future tenses in both simple and compound
sentences to help students further develop their reading and
communication skills.
