Interactions 1
and 2 focus
on the rhetorical modes of description, narration, exposition,
classification, and persuasion. Skills and strategies include
interviewing, ordering information, using time sequence, making
an idea map, making an outline, organizing information
according to importance, analyzing narrative organization, and
obtaining information from graphics.
Mosaic 1 and 2 cover such
skills and strategies as editing for paragraph unity and
organization, editing for paragraph coherence and conclusion,
analyzing advantages and disadvantages, speculating, editing
for main idea and levels of generality, recognizing cultural
humor, revising, and considering alternative opinions.
